Peakles likes shiny things at the moment and she wanted to make her grandmothers something shiny, useful and beautiful too. We decided to create a bracelet that could also be used as a book mark because both grandmothers like to read. This project was ideal as Peakles has been feeling poorly and she was happy to do this without having to spend lots of time sitting at her work station.
Materials:
Ribbons, stick on jewels or jewels with crafting sticky pads stuck onto them.
What we did:
Peakles chose two lengths of ribbon she liked and then decided which jewels to use.
We have been looking at ‘patterns’ recently and she managed to use this experience in sequencing her ‘jewels.
Next we kept the jewels in the centre of the ribbons. Peakles liked this project so much that she wanted to make one for herself!
The ribbons can be worn around the wrist tied with a simple bow or can be used as a book mark.
Finally we placed them in the butterfly gift boxes we had made earlier. (see http://wp.me/p3frBP-71 )
